Development 2

Curriculum Development

In this WP, each Palestinian and Jordanian university will choose an academic program from their faculty of science and embark on developing a new Bologna Process-based curriculum for the selected program. The development process will incorporate best practices learned in the previous WPs, as well as draw upon benchmarks from the EU partner universities. Key stakeholders will be actively engaged throughout the process. The resulting curriculum will undergo submission for accreditation to the relevant bodies in each country (Palestine and Jordan). The necessary laws, bylaws, and regulations required for accreditation will be developed and utilized during this stage.

This Work Package (WP) outlines the specific activities to be undertaken, the allocation of tasks, and the roles and responsibilities of the team members involved in the project. The objective of the WP is to ensure that all components are efficiently managed and executed in alignment with the overall project goals.

One science curriculum is developed and approved by each partner HEI

Finalization and approval of the developed curriculum, accompanied by the necessary accreditation and quality assurance system requirements represent an important achievement for the project.

Accreditation is acquired for the developed programs

Once the programs are accredited by the Ministries and accreditation authorities in Palestine and Jordan, the programs can start accepting new students.

The BASE project project aims to elevate higher education in Palestine and Jordan by implementing the Bologna Process in one program chosen from the multiple programs in the colleges of science at each partner university in Palestine and Jordan. The project will utilise Bologna’s standards and philosophy to develop these selected programs by creating curricula and establishing the context and environment supporting this development at each HEIs.
