Reform During Two-Day Online Webinar on Initial Programme Design*
*VIRTUAL EVENT* Over the course of yesterday and today, the Building Academic Synergies for Education (BASE) project successfully hosted a comprehensive two-day online webinar, bringing together all consortium partners to advance critical discussions on initial programme design.
Initiating its core sessions at 10:00 am CEST, the virtual summit served as a strategic collaborative platform for partner institutions to structure new, modernized Bachelor of Science curricula. The primary focus of the webinar was to ensure that the newly developed study plans are actively translating the theoretical standards and quality assurance benchmarks of the European Bologna Process into actionable, local academic frameworks.
A major highlight of the event was the detailed progress presentations delivered by key partner universities. Academic coordinators and faculty representatives from the **Arab American University (AAUP)*, the *German Jordanian University (GJU)*, and the **Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST)** took the virtual stage to showcase their initial programme designs. These presentations sparked highly productive peer-review discussions, allowing the wider consortium to share best practices, identify regional challenges, and refine pedagogical approaches ahead of the official program implementations.
The event demonstrated the strong collaborative spirit of the Erasmus+ initiative, featuring full attendance and active participation from across the entire BASE project consortium. Representatives from all partner institutions and regulatory bodies were present, including:

 * An-Najah National University (ANNU)
 * Arab American University (AAUP)
 * Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and Fundació Solidaritat UB (FSUB)
 * SkyEdu for Educational Consultancy
 * Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST)
 * Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU)
 * German Jordanian University (GJU)
 * Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie (PTUK)
 * Università di Pisa (UniPI)
 * UNIMED - Mediterranean Universities Union
 * Association of Arab Universities (AArU)
 * CIMEA
 * Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHE / MoHES)
 * Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commissions (AQACHEI / AQAC)

By seamlessly uniting European academic expertise with regional educational leadership, the BASE project continues to maintain its operational momentum. The successful conclusion of this two-day webinar marks another vital milestone in the consortium's mission to implement internationally accredited, competency-based science programs across higher education institutions in Palestine and Jordan.

The BASE project project aims to elevate higher education in Palestine and Jordan by implementing the Bologna Process in one program chosen from the multiple programs in the colleges of science at each partner university in Palestine and Jordan. The project will utilise Bologna’s standards and philosophy to develop these selected programs by creating curricula and establishing the context and environment supporting this development at each HEIs.
