An important indirect outcome of the BASE Project has emerged through the trust, institutional cooperation, and shared vision developed among its partners.
The collaborative work initiated under BASE helped create the professional relationships and mutual confidence that later supported the establishment of the CIMEA Middle East Regional Office, hosted by An-Najah National University.
While the Regional Office is not a formal output of the BASE Project, it represents a significant spin-off from the wider ecosystem of cooperation built through the project.
It reflects how European and regional partnerships can extend beyond individual project activities to generate sustainable institutional initiatives with broader impact.
The new office will support higher education institutions across the Middle East in academic recognition, qualification verification, international mobility, and cooperation with European and international education systems.
This development demonstrates that the true value of international projects is not limited to their planned deliverables. Their deeper impact lies in the trust they build, the networks they create, and the long-term initiatives they make possible.
